Commissioned to model a new type of residential stud

Design contains two 2" x 1" wooden beams glued to an inner webbing design

Inner webbing is laser cut, or cut via CNC from 1/2" plywood

Inner webbing is designed to minimize conductive heat transfer, and allows for increased insulation between the inner wall and the exterior wall

Prototype used Aluminum framing, 1/4" plywood fastened with rivets.
